I’ve
recently had people writing to ask what they could do to make money at home or
to get a good job. I know our
finances are squeezed and people are going through life changing
upheavals. God is sorting things out for
us and moving us into new positions.
Sometimes it’s to cause us to look at our lives and see what needs to be
changed. We may be out of alignment with
God, or out of order completely. Mostly
we’re still trying to DO it ourselves, to support us and be our own God. You see, we
can’t do that. He didn’t put us here to
work hard. He put us here to WALK WITH
HIM. That requires time and effort put
into a real relationship. If you’re
trying to work harder, get a second job to make ends meet or feel that the
burden is on YOUR shoulders, then you’re committing the original sin. The devil
convinced Adam and Eve that they could be like God and do it themselves. He told them they didn’t need to go through
God for their needs. He was and
still is a liar! He’s still spreading
this lie today. Even through preachers
who say God only helps those who help themselves! That is NOT in the Bible anywhere. God says over and over to lean on HIM, not to
trust in OUR understanding and that ALL of our supply comes from HIM. So what ARE
you supposed to do? You’re supposed to
call God your provider, your healer and your God. You’re supposed to submit to Him, wait on Him
to show you the way, and if the answer doesn’t come immediately, to wait
patiently until it does before you act.
You’re supposed to thank Him in advance for all the provision you need,
because it is YOURS already, if you have faith and will give God the credit and
glory for it. If your hand is in it, God
takes HIS hands off! This doesn’t
mean you should sit on a rock and let your life pass on by. God gave each of us gifts and through these
gifts we do good works, and He prospers us.
Some play music, some work math problems and do scientific study, some
care for the elderly or sick. What is
YOUR gift? If you don’t know yet, ask
God to reveal them to you. Ask your
friends what your gifts might be, because it’s a good chance they’ve already
noticed what you’re really good at or what you talk about a lot. What is your
passion? If you do what you LOVE to do,
then it’s not “work”, it’s a joy. How can you
turn your passion into income? Just begin
doing it. Ask God to bless you (He’s
promised He’ll bless what you put your hands to). You don’t
even have to get your income through what you do directly. Sometimes money comes on the side unrelated,
but because of what you are passionate about.
An example would be creating foundations or nonprofit organizations to
help others. You can receive a salary
from working in them. Pastor

If you’re disabled or a veteran or have a life challenge that causes people to have compassion for you, you can do very well with just a table outside a local store, selling whatever little craft or flower/pencils/etc. that you can make. Ask for permission to set up, check with
local officials to see if you can do a “fundraiser” or if you need a permit to occasionally
set up for sales. Don’t call it a
business yet, because you will definitely need a license and to pay taxes on
it. Wait to see how well your first time
or two goes, and then decide if you’ll be continuing it as a business. God bless

Prince Proverbs 17:8 8A present is a precious stone in the eyes
of its possessor; wherever he turns, he prospers. When we see
something moldy, we throw it away. But when Alexander Fleming saw his culture
dishes contaminated with mold, he discovered penicillin. You see, he had a gift
which prospered him. Joseph, a
Hebrew slave in Egypt, had nothing except his gift of interpreting dreams. But
look at what that gift did for him. It prospered him. He interpreted Pharaoh’s
dream and became the most powerful man in Egypt after Pharaoh. (Genesis 41) “But Pastor
Prince, what if I don’t have any gift?” My friend,
don’t let anyone tell you that you don’t have any gift. God has given each
person a gift which can open doors of opportunities and bring in great
blessings. Maybe you
are just not aware of that gift you have inside you, or perhaps it has profited
you nothing thus far as you have not found out how best to use it. You need to
take your gift and ask God for wisdom to cultivate it until it becomes such a
powerful tool or “precious stone” that wherever you turn, you prosper. This was the
case with a church brother who was tremendously gifted in the creative arts.
For a long time, he lacked the confidence and boldness to leave the security of
his police job and step out on his own. But when he began to seek God’s wisdom
for his situation, God gave him boldness to leave his job and go back to school
to pursue the creative arts. In school, he prospered, becoming one of its top
students and impressing the principal so much with his creative gift that he
was offered a teaching position in the school even before he graduated. Now, please
don’t go and quit your job after reading this. What you should do is ask God
for wisdom regarding your gift. For when the wisdom of God is added to your
gift, that gift becomes “a precious stone in the eyes of its possessor;
wherever he turns, he prospers”. To God be the praise and glory! In Jesus’ name I send out this teaching and ask that the Word bless and heal all who read or hear it. God bless you all. God bless you! Keep looking back here
