A guy named
Thomas Troward (years ago) figured out that people become like the average of
their 5 closest friends. Raise the bar on your life expectations by choosing
friends with good morals, who work hard to accomplish their goals and keep
their lives clean! Nobody's
perfect, but there are big differences between the people you know. Hang around
with the ones who are going good places! Go to meetings at civic organizations
and find a good church to meet new lifelong friends who can lift you up to a
higher level. Never stop
reaching to be your best, but do it for the right reason, - to be grateful for
and make the most of the life you were given. Life didn't
just happen, it was an opportunity entrusted to you, and you have personal
responsibility for what you will do with it! Trying to be your best isn't only about your level of education or what job you have. Those things are not that important in who you actually are! It's what you believe and how you treat others that really counts. Every day work on forgiving others, wanting the best for them, even for your enemies. Every day talk to God and ask Him what did He have in mind for your life! You might find out there are doors waiting to be opened for you that you never would have imagined on your own!
