Psalms 139: 13-16 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed
body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. This
is one of my favourite scriptures, I will never cease to be amazed at
creation, it's uniqueness, the individuality of each piece of His
workmanship, the attention to detail, the joy and pleasure it brings. In
this modern age we too can glimpse as the creation of life, even before
it reaches our world. We can see features, facial expressions, many of
us take photographs to share the wonder of this new little being, snugly
held in perfect embrace, with family and friends. There
is a sense of pride and awe as we glimpse into the hidden place,
marvelling at how this can be, a tiny image of the creator of its life,
we gasp as we see the long fingers of its mother, the shape of its
Fathers nose, or lips..how it stretches, moves, sleeps in the security
of the womb. As
I think of these amazing words, I think of those whose experience is
not so much one of joy, but, at best disappointment at worst fear, of
the unknown, of hope torn asunder as it becomes clear, not all is well. Where joy, hope and excitement once stirred, uncertainty, confusion and fear take its place. Questions, reproach, blame, shame, the what ifs and
if only's crash into each other, all thoughts captivated by the unknown. Smiles replaced by sorrowful glances, celebrations by hushed silence, expectations dashed to despair. It's here that really need to see the hidden, the unseen, in a different light. Not what we expect, but what is expected of us. In
this we are unique. Unlike animals that destroy the weak, abandon the
imperfect, like our Creator we see life and the need to preserve it,
develop it, grow it, although nature fouls up, as all creation fell that
day in Eden, we are called to embrace all that God has given, for it is
good. Consequences are not the finality of the situation, it is what can be learnt through its outcome. All creation has a place in our fallen world, God has a purpose for all and knows the days apportioned for each. Sin erodes, God grows, sadness deflects, Gods love reflects, He knows us full well. His grace, compassion and strength is our all, He has promised to be with us always. Highest high, deepest deep, nothing can separate us from His love for us. He cares about us and His
provision is peace. All creation, yes all, await the coming King. The promise, no more pain or sorrow, this is our sure and certain future as we await His coming. Love as only we can, with His love. With
His compassion, see His creation as of worth and purpose, all of which
He rejoices over, they are the ones written in His book. Care for them, just as He has cared for you, in Love. To God be the praise and glory! In Jesus’ name I send out this teaching and ask that the Word bless and heal all who read or hear it. God bless you all. God bless you! Keep looking back here
