Jesus said,
"Don't call me good, there is only one who is good, that is God."
Although He was part God, part man, He humbled Himself before the Father and
demonstrated to us the attitude WE should have. Before He
went into the wilderness for 40 days of fasting, He had a job, made a living
and worked for the same things we do. But when He came out, He gave up the
pursuit of worldly things. He deferred
completely to God for everything He needed, and the miracles flowed. He said He
would only speak the things He heard His Father speak, and only do the things
He saw His Father do. We think He
spoke and people were healed because He was God in the flesh but He told us to
do the same things now, and even greater things than He did. What if miracles
are a direct result of humbling ourselves before God and doing things HIS way. When Jacob
wrestled with the angel, he wouldn't let the angel go until it blessed him.
(Essentially "cried uncle" or said Jacob was stronger than him.) Isn't that
what God expects of us? To say, "You are right God, and I was wrong. I
surrender to you (cry uncle) and will do it your way. You're stronger and
smarter than I am and I will stop trying to be God." Way back
before Jesus came, God said You say I am unjust because I said if a righteous man
turns from doing right and does wrong, he is unrighteous. But I am perfectly
fair, because I say if an unrighteous man turns from his evil and does right,
he is a righteous man and I will remember his sins no more. After Jesus
died on the cross, God said if you have believed on my Son, that He died to
take away your sins, you are the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ. It is as
simple as that. Say "Lord, I am unrighteous, but I turn from my ways and
seek your ways. I declare YOUR way is right, YOU are God, and I just want to
follow you all the days of my life, serving you and seeking your perfect path.
Jesus, I believe you died for my sins, please write my name in your book of
life!" To God be the praise and glory! In Jesus’ name I send out this teaching and ask that the Word bless and heal all who read or hear it. God bless you all. God bless you! Keep looking back here
