Did you know
that Abel was the first prophet of God? Jesus said so. Abel was in
charge of the flocks of sheep used to sacrifice to God for forgiveness of their
sins and to teach the people how to properly do it. When Adam
and Eve sinned, God killed an animal in front of them and then peeled its skin
and wrapped it around them, symbolizing giving them righteousness. Imagine their horror at the sight of the
first thing that had to die for them.
Imagine the shock of seeing what lies underneath the beautiful coat of
wool on the sweet little animals. They
were not yet eating meat, so they didn’t keep the sheep for food. Later, Jesus
took off His righteousness at the cross and wrapped it around us. The blood we
wear is so much better than that of a sheep!
We’re certainly cleaner with His blood on us than Adam was, both
spiritually and in reality. Jesus’ blood
was more than a covering; it had the power to actually blast away our sins into
oblivion! We not only have forgiveness
and salvation that allows us to enter heaven “one day”, but we have all things
restored to us that was taken away from mankind in the Garden of Eden. We have fellowship with our creator and He
walks with us in the cool of the day now if we’ll set aside time to walk with
Him. It gives us
His incredible power to use, and the authority of His name to shred our
personal darkness and send the demons and sicknesses scurrying away from God’s
light. It blasts away cancer cells,
shrinks cysts, seals up holes and fistulas, repairs damaged throat tissues from
reflux, it regrows brain tissue and bones, strengthening them and removing
osteoporosis! It even puts food on your
table, approves your disability claims, and provides medicines you need! And it can reunite family members that you
long to be with again, but seem forever out of your reach! It heals and forgives old wounds and allows
you start all over again! "Forgiveness
is not a feeling; it is a commitment. It is a choice to show mercy, not to hold
the offense up against the offender. Forgiveness is an expression of
love." - Gary Chapman, author of "The 5 Primary Love Languages". Just DARE TO
BELIEVE! The first and most predominant
sin in the world was and IS failure to take God at His word. Not believing God’s report, which came from
wanting to think and act our way instead of His ways. Wanting to do it ourselves! So many
people teach wrongly that God will only help those who help themselves! This is a terrible lie! God knows we CANNOT help ourselves and that’s
why Jesus had to come. He never asked us
to take care of ourselves. He commanded
us over and over to lean on Him, come to Him with our problems, and ask Him for
what we need. He was the
leader of the Hebrew people until they rejected Him and asked for a King. So God let the world see what it was like to
bow down to our fellow man. Look at the
wars and suffering that humanity has inflicted on itself! Soon Jesus
is coming back and He’ll take His place as our King and life will be good
again. God blesses those who love and
look forward to His coming! Get ready! Repent (not just about sins, but simply means
turn your life around and go a different way), and lean on God daily, so that
