Jesus himself said if we were to speak a command to a mountain and tell it to pick itself up and be cast into the sea, it would obey us if we believed it and doubted not.

Many times He tried to make the people understand that if they asked for anything, using His name, believing that they would receive it, it would be so.  He proved this many times with the miracles He did.

Remember the Centurion who had a sick slave?  He asked Jesus to heal him, but when Jesus offered to come to his house to do it in person, the Centurion told him not to bother, that he knew all Jesus had to do was speak the word and it would be done.  Jesus was amazed at the man's faith, and the slave was healed in that very hour.

How do we get that kind of faith?

"Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God".  That means you've got to get into reading the Bible, or listening to taped scripture or some good evangelist's taped programs.  You really need to be in a church and get to know it.  Find out if they teach the truth and then listen and absorb the Word with all your heart.

Every time you put the principles of scripture to the test, and use them in your everyday life, your faith will also be strengthened because you saw it come to pass.

At my church we talk about a person's "believer", meaning the part of you inside that responds to what you hear.  If you hear the weather man predicting rain, and your believer hooks up to that prediction, you'll go get your umbrella and be prepared for rain.

If two or three people say to you that a friend has told a lie about you, your believer will be activated to think this is true, and your heart will change towards your friend.

If you hear that God will do all He has promised for you, and that all is always well for you if you put your trust in Him, your believer will activate and actually help to bring about your safety and sustenance.

If your preacher tells you that God has told him that you are being healed and everything is going to be all right, if your believer hooks up with that prediction, you WILL be all right!

Even in non Christian situations, when a person believes something, the power of their belief will bring it about.

This is part of the miracle of this planet and our physical reality that God put in motion during the creation.  He said whatever you sow you will reap.  We can say it like this - whatever you hear you will become.  Perhaps you are thinking that you should reconsider some of the TV shows you allow yourself and family to watch.
