How to KNOW if you're saved

So many people today agonize over their position with God, and at best in our churches, you'll hear "well, no one can be SURE if they're going to Heaven, we won't know until we die."

Beloved, I have some very good news for you!  Jesus wanted you to KNOW without a doubt that you belong to Him, and the Bible gives us many verses that explain this.  I've included a few of them below.

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life; and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."                                                   John 3:36

"He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God that ye may know that ye have eternal life and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."
                                                                                 I John 5:12, 13

"We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren.  He that loveth not his brother abideth in death."
                                                                                  I John 3:14

"And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.  For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.  Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God."
                                                                                  I John 3:19 - 21

"I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day."                             2 Timothy 1:12

You can see by these verses that it is very important to settle this question once and for all in our hearts.  If you don't, the enemy has an opportunity to sneak in to your mind and convince you that all is lost, you're so unworthy, you can't be healed, etc.  These thoughts can lead to depression, lack of power in your lives and hinder your witness to others.  At the very least it takes away much of the splendour of Christ's gift to us of his work on the cross.  Let's not minimize what Jesus did, let's shout it out to the world and be glad!

Jesus' work on the cross was more than just allowing us to enter Heaven when we leave this body.  His blood cancels out our sins, so we can enter boldly unto His throne of grace and make our requests known to him.

The beating He took before He was crucified was for our healing, and scripture makes it very plain that we can rely on this as a fact when we bring our health issues before him.  This assures us that God WANTS US TO BE HEALED!  It is INDEED God's will for you to live well and prosper.
