A new word from the Lord, revealed to my sister Eileen.

He spoke to my sister Eileen that we were created to be God’s companions, to keep Him company.  He said to her, “I do not desire your presence, I require it!”

God put man in a Garden, full of food, safety, and with no needs other than what He provided for them.  God’s promises all through the Bible are that He will take care of us.  He will dress us and feed us.

When man lost the garden and God’s protection, He sent Jesus to reconcile us to Himself again, and to show HOW we could again live in that garden and walk with the Lord there in peace, safety and provision.

Jesus told Nicodemus that we must all be born again to enter the Kingdom of God, to enter back into that Garden where God dwells.  We must not stay outside the Garden and try to take care of ourselves and live our lives separate from God.  We are not created for that, and if we try to do this, we’re of no use to Him.

Remember the story in Esther of Queen Vashti, the most beautiful of women, who was summoned to her husband’s party so that he could show the world the wealth of his goods and his good and beautiful wife.  She was someone like the presidential first ladies now days.  She had programs she was doing and important things in her mind, and to her the parading of her womanhood before her husband’s subjects was beneath her.  It seemed to gall her.  She refused to come when he called.  She was quickly replaced with a humble queen who desired the presence of her husband.

We too, are totally useless and our beauty and all the great things we try to do are those “filthy rags” mentioned in scripture, unless we come quickly to God when He calls us.

How does He call you?  When you feel the urging in your heart to pray.  When you think of Him or a Bible story.  When the Holy Spirit moves you to do something.

What if you don’t feel any urging or call?  Then don’t wait for Him to call you.  Be ever present in your mind and heart, ready to shout, “Here I am Lord” if He calls your name.  He will know your heart and attitude and it will please Him that you are standing at the ready.  It will please Him if you desire to speak with Him, and to walk with Him in the Garden like Adam did.

(Sing songs in your heart to Him.  Smile and remember His goodness.  Keep records of His blessings and gifts to you.)

It will please Him if you stop trying to be your own master, provider and source.  Stop worrying about money and bills.  Stop worrying about educational titles and work titles and stop filling your days with all the busy work that prevents you from being ever present with the Lord, constant in prayer and a Holy vessel.

Have you invested as much time in studying God’s Word and instructions to us, as you have in learning your trade or fitting in with society?

Why in the world do we neglect the first and most important thing?

Isn’t that like going to a foreign country to live, and preparing for months for the change in climate and a different money system, but not spending any time getting to know the language spoken there?

There are many examples given in scripture of people being invited into the presence of God and them turning Him down because of all the other things more important or more pleasant to them.   All of those who rejected Him were thrown into “outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth”.  Humans seem to choose outer darkness as their way of life, despite the offer of Life.

Why are we still rejecting God in everything we do?  All through our day we go about our busy work, planning great futures and increases in our pay, substance and family.  We rush from place to place in our cars, our minds full of thoughts of worry and bills, plans we’d like to do.  Even good works we’d like to do in God’s name.

But if we live like that, not making a connection with God except when it’s convenient for us, and for an hour on Sunday morning and an hour on Wednesday night, why do we expect God to accept our praise then?

Why do we expect Him to be pleased with our meager little gift when He created us JUST FOR HIS PLEASURE?  To be present with Him in the Garden, entire and wanting nothing.

Beloved, let's give God the best of our lives and time, and heart, or He may reject us and say, “Get away from me, I never knew you.”

In God’s eyes  “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”
